Bloomberg PoliticsThis week Bloomberg visited an undisclosed location eight miles from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Ca. to get an inside look at how Haystax California Common Operating Picture (CalCOP) is being used by law enforcement agencies and first responders to keep teams and their fans safe in the days leading up to Super Bowl 50. Haystax CalCOP, which is powered by the Constellation Analytics Platform, allows analysts to view multiple layers of data from disparate sources on a map, all from their computers. CalCOP is also provided as a mobile app that public safety officials and first responders can use to send video, text and photos from their mobile phones. That data is automatically ingested into the overall system and displayed on what’s called a Watchboard. “The field reports we get through our indicator app are gold, even the ones that say nothing is happening here,” said Bryan Ware, CTO, Haystax Technology.
