Haystax Technology’s Director of School Safety Solutions, John Boatman, is speaking at the 2015 National Center for Education Research & Technology (NCERT) Summit in Pasadena, California. Boatman is presenting on “Managing School Safety in the 21st Century” and showing how Haystax’s School Safety Center can help districts better prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from a wide variety of threats and hazards through enhanced information sharing across jurisdictions. The Haystax School Safety Center is a lightweight, cloud-based software that helps schools overcome these and other challenges by integrating critical threat and school facility information into a single alerting and monitoring tool – available any time, any place, on any device – providing law enforcement leaders with up-to-the-minute security awareness. In addition, it enables district officials to compile detailed reports from the data, establishing a measurable, analytically-sound foundation for their safety-related resourcing and planning decisions. The Haystax School Safety Center already protects more than three million students across the country and has been implemented statewide in Florida. Most recently, the Los Angeles School Police Department (LASPD) deployed Haystax’s Mobile Assessor app with its field teams to assess the safety of its 2,000 schools and will soon deploy a mobile incident-reporting app to the district’s police officers and school staff.
