Haystax Appoints General Peter Pace as Board Chairman

Former Joint Chiefs Chairman to Provide Strategic Leadership for Continued Growth in the Federal Marketplace

McLean, VA, November 18, 2014 – Haystax Technology, Inc., today announced that retired U.S. Marine Corps General Peter Pace has been named chairman of the company’s Board of Directors. In this role, Pace will guide the Haystax business strategy and offer insights to best support our nation’s security needs.

Pace, 16th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and a 2008 recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom has been a member of the Haystax Board since 2013.

“We welcome Pace to his new role as Haystax chairman. We are confident that under his stewardship, we will continue to deepen our commitment to serving the most critical defense and intelligence missions,” said William B. Van Vleet III, CEO of Haystax. “Pace’s experience and strategic guidance will ensure that Haystax remains a leader at the intersection of analytics and cybersecurity for both our Federal customers and multinational corporations.”

Pace assumes the chairmanship as Haystax is well positioned to capitalize on positive momentum in the market. The company continues to execute on its growth plans through strategic acquisitions that enable it to deliver a robust suite of mission-critical cybersecurity and threat analytics solutions to the defense and intelligence communities. Most recently, Haystax completed its third acquisition in two years with the purchase of NetCentrics Corporation, a leading provider of cybersecurity and network management solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal agencies. “I look forward to my new role on the Haystax board,” said General Pace, “and to helping the Haystax team continue to deliver the advanced enterprise threat management and cybersecurity solutions that are vital to protecting our nation.”

Pace is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and earned an M.S.A. from George Washington University. He is also a graduate of the Infantry Officers’ Advanced Course at Fort Benning, Ga.; the Marine Corps Command and Staff College in Quantico; and the National War College at Ft. McNair in Washington, D.C. He currently serves on the Director of National Intelligence’s Senior Advisory Board, is a Distinguished Visiting Research Scholar for Fordham University, and an Adjunct Faculty member of Georgetown University.
