Big data is hot, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) knows it. They’ve established a 2016 Big Data Series and have chosen Haystax Technology to be part of a Social Media Market Research Industry Day on February 26. Experts were selected to address specific needs for analytics support for the criminal investigations, screening and vetting, situational awareness, and communications and outreach missions of the Department. Experts such as Haystax will discuss analytics features including the development of information sources, language processing, network analysis, and visualization techniques as well as privacy and civil rights/civil liberties protections, systems architectures, storage and security capabilities. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, February 26. Due to the anticipated popularity of the session, onsite registration will be limited. However, DHS is offering a webinar. Those interested in either attending in person or through the webinar should register by clicking here. To access the webinar on the day of the event, please click here.
