Haystax Technology has been named the top company in its category in the 2018 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.
Appropriately enough during this Winter Olympics season, Haystax was named Gold Winner as the Most Innovative Cybersecurity Company with 50-99 employees. Two other companies were awarded Silver and Bronze status, respectively, to round out the category’s ‘medal’ count.
The Cybersecurity Excellence Awards program honors individuals, products and companies that represent excellence, innovation and leadership in information security. Recognition is based on two criteria:
- The strength of the nomination (demonstrated leadership, excellence and results, depending on the specific category); and
- Popular votes and comments received from more than 400,000 members of the Information Security Community on LinkedIn, organizer of the annual awards program.
Haystax, which received nearly 600 votes, is known for taking a unique model-driven approach to user behavior analytics (UBA), blending qualitative expert judgments captured in Bayesian models with other artificial intelligence techniques to find threat ‘signals’ buried inside multiple data sources. Threats are ranked in priority order and instantly displayed as actionable information, viewable by decision-makers, analysts and others who need to know.
“Congratulations to Haystax for being recognized as the gold winner in the Most Innovative Cybersecurity Company category,” said Holger Schulze, CEO of Cybersecurity Insiders and founder of the Information Security Community. “With over 400 entries in more than 70 categories, the 2018 awards are highly competitive and all winners truly reflect the very best in today’s cybersecurity industry.”
Previously, Haystax’s Haystax Analytics Platform™ was awarded the 2017 Cybersecurity Excellence Award in the Security Analytics product category.
