Tom Read, Haystax Technology’s Vice President of Security Analytics, has been chosen to lead a breakout session at this year’s Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) Worldwide Conference in mid-August. His topic will be Insider Threat Mitigation: Real-World Results And New Analytic Frameworks.
DoDIIS, sponsored by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), says the theme of this year’s conference is Data as a Weapons System: Revolutionizing Intelligence. The theme “underscores the importance of accelerating DIA’s transformation into a data-centric organization in order to achieve mission success in the 21st century.”
“We need data to be discoverable by both people and machines,” DoDIIS says. “Data discovery must be intuitive and it must allow for rapid use and exploitation using automated processes, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Data is the future and the future will not wait for us. That future success is not guaranteed and it is only achievable if government, military, industry and academia come together and work as one team.”
