McLean, VA – November 13, 2015 – Haystax Technology, a leading provider of advanced analytics and cybersecurity solutions, today announced it had been named a Grand Platinum Winner at the 2015 Security Innovation Awards at the Secured Cities conference in Houston, Texas. Haystax, a pioneer in risk-based public safety applications, works closely with the Houston UASI to help protect critical infrastructure, manage major events and help with fire and safety planning. This work resulted in the city of Houston and Haystax being designated as winners of the 2015 Grand Platinum award winner, signifying the top overall security project for the 2015 Security Innovation Awards. The project was so unique in scope and application that for the first time in the award program’s nine-year history, it was a unanimous choice. Haystax Technology’s Digital Sandbox (DS7), part of the suite of applications within the Haystax Public Safety Cloud™ is used to support all disciplines related to critical infrastructure and key resources (CIKR) protection and response in the Houston-Galveston UASI. Haystax DS7 connects all front-line elements of the public safety community, providing a single source for data collection, prioritization, presentation, and analysis. By combining “on-board” analytical capabilities with assessment data, users are able to obtain a risk posture of their jurisdiction to plan for and respond to various threats and hazards. The system supports multiple aspects of public safety related to response and recovery efforts by incorporating asset data with real-time feeds from field personnel and media sources into a single dashboard for situational awareness of the incident and its cascading effects. Also at the Secured Cities conference, Field Support Operations lead Doug Pasley and Jack Hanagriff, coordinator for the Houston Regional Asset Management Program (RAMP), participated in a panel titled, “Inside the Digital Sandbox: How Houston Shares Public Safety Risk Analysis and Information Across the Region.” The panel served as a great opportunity for Haystax to show how DS7 offers situational awareness by connecting all types of public safety feeds into one, comprehensive view.
