Security InfoWatch, which aims to connect the community of safety and security professionals, highlighted a number of out-of-the-box solutions and projects submitted for the 2015 Security Innovation Awards, sponsored by Security Technology Executive magazine. Haystax Technology is pleased to have been part of one of these projects, which was so unique in scope and application that it was a unanimous selection as the 2015 Grand Platinum winner, signifying the top overall security project for the program. The Houston area UASI district brought together multiple partners, including Haystax Technology, to deploy a new technology called datacasting which allows for the speedy transmission of data – communication, voice and other wireless applications – across the entire public safety network, leveraging the same technology broadcast television has used for almost 80 years. Haystax’s Digital Sandbox, part of the suite of applications within the Haystax Public Safety Cloud, was used to help inject and manage content in the broadcast, as part of the larger initiative, which earned praise from one of the judges who said, “The City of Houston really grabbed the proverbial ‘bull by the horns’ with this project.” Congrats, City of Houston!
